On behalf of Sky Blues Youth FC, I am pleased to welcome all our players and parents to the 40th Anniversary supporting the beautiful game - football! Our Club is a registered non-profit organisation which began in 1970's and is run by volunteer members, managers and coaches. Our mission is to provide an equal opportunity to boys and girls who wish to play organized football, at both a recreational and competitive level. Our Club's objective is to promote teamwork, fitness and fun! As we prepare for the 2010/11 season, I want to take a moment to remind everyone that we are all responsible for establishing a good footballing environment for all our children. Committee members, coaches, parents, grandparents and friends - we all need to continue to remind ourselves that the reason we take the time to participate in any sport is for the children - the real STARS of our Club. Players and coaches are thrown together at the beginning of the season - I think you'll agree it takes time to develop a team! We want our volunteer coaches to focus on skill development, teamwork and fun throughout the season! I would like to personally thank our club members, our volunteer coaches and our sponsors - for their dedication and support of this club.
